Quality Testing

United Brass Works’ quality department has a wide range of testing capabilities. In addition to maintaining an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system, we also have a wide range of quality inspection machines to ensure that each valve meets or exceeds customer expectations. Our testing capabilities go beyond visual inspection–though we regularly perform visual inspections on parts. We have a wide range of equipment for testing the surface finish and hardness of the part, examining its tolerances, and ensuring its durability.

Magnetic Particle Inspection

Mag Particle Inspection is a unique nondestructive testing method that uses a magnetic field to detect surface and some subsurface discontinuities. This method is best for ferromagnetic alloys and allows users to find any critical flaws or structural cracks before the parts are finalized. 

Coordinate Measuring Machines

We also have CMM capabilities to ensure that our valves meet the tolerances necessary for each application. Our CMM is excellent for ensuring that the tested valves meet the measurements, which is a necessary inspection for valves that have to meet extremely tight tolerances.
