Our Keystone Foundry Division produces high-quality, pressure tight brass alloy castings with both long- and short-run production capabilities.
Our design and manufacturing capabilities include pattern equipment design from customer drawings or samples plus stereo lithography and solid modeling. Our in-house pattern and tool shop enables on-site repair, maintenance or modifications to both matchplates and core boxes. Keystone Foundry Division Capabilities
EngineeringHigh technology brass and bronze casting results are achieved through engineering expertise and a modern computerized capability integral to Keystone's involvement in the design of customers' castings. This expertise assures sound brass or bronze casting on a repetitive basis affording Keystone customers an economical edge.
Pattern Production Keystone's full service pattern shop is staffed with highly experienced pattern makers capable of repairing, modifying or changing all patterns as well as making new patterns and core boxes.
Casting Pyrometer readings of every metal pot insures constant quality of the finished bronze or brass casting. As part of Keystone's air quality and employee safety program, each pouring pot is equipped with fume venting devices and employees are outfitted with modern safety equipment.
Material Handling Keystone's modern material handling facilities include a Didion Rotary Shakeout tunnel and vibrating conveyor system that facilitate the processing of a large number of castings while minimizing human handling and involvement.
Machining The machining of a customer's bronze or brass casting to meet tight specifications is provided by Keystone through its parent company, United Brass Works. Many types of equipment are available including automatic chuckers.
